New Kids on the Block:
Lot 25 has been bought by Nyshie Perkinson for a replica of the Coney Island Wonder Wheel. This will still have some modifications made, possibly some lights to glow through the plexi and bounce off the reflective tape.
Lots 35 and 36 will be a lending library, with really small books courtesy of Bonnie Bastien
Lot 46 is the site of a new Tillapia (a.k.a. the aquatic chicken) hatchery, courtesy of Steve Whittlesey. His plan is to catch the nutrients flowing off neighboring plots to feed his army of fish.

Lots 3 and 4 are the property of Karie Vincent Director of the New Bedford Art Museum. Having grown up in Brooklyn, she expressed interest in privacy and protection from neighbors noise and development , hence the behind-the-ear location.
Karie and I met the other night and discussed the development of her campground, after which she showed me the hidden side of New Bedford.
Lot 17 Is the home of Shara Porter’s lovable mascot, this little Kiwi. We figured it could eat some of the sorrel and give Wal-Mart the ass end.
Check out Shara’s wares at http://sharaporter.com/
Lot 51 is the site of a new Centering School, based on the concept of Black Mountain College. This was conceived at Money Fight’s show on Saturday night, drawn on a flyer, which I lost halfway through building it, so I had to finish from memory. The director, Kelly will have to tell you more about the symbolism, and what a centering school actually is….
You can see construction shots of these projects on the ‘How to’ page ……..
…………………Just a random burger spotting………don’t forget the burger…………………….
Lots 24 and 19 were the first to be sold to Tom Eshelman and Jeanne Finan, fine folks from N. Carolina. They requested that their land be reserved for open space, and in this context, open space entails cutting through the foundation cap and letting the vegetation grow wild. I am personally grateful for this since it gives my scalp some breathability, especially on those hot summer days.
Incidentally, this is on the roof of the Berwick in Roxbury, quite a nice view.
Lots 54 and 56 have just been bought by by Shingo Furakawa. He is currently engineering a draw bridge that will connect to other headscapes.
Here’s the bridge installed and fully operational
Lot 20 has been purchased by Lynn Reeves, Program Manager at the Jentel Foundation in Wyoming. Lynn and daughter Ashley will be erecting a billboard.
Lots 11-14 have been purchased by Karl Unnasch of Chatfield , MN. Visit www.karlunnasch.com to get a little taste of what he is cooking up.
Lot 26 is the future site of Uncle Cosmo’s Liquor Emporium, every town needs its packaged goods.
Lots 23 and 18 are slated for the development of a Walmart SuperCenter, courtesy of Kudesh Development Inc.
Lot 16 is Shelley Cardoos’s “Leander and Mary gardens.” We went and picked some hardy New Bedford foliage from the cracks of the cobblestones, figuring that these plants would hold up best in a high stress environment. Check the Technical/ how to section to see how the garden was constructed.
Lots 42 and 45 are the property of Dawn Stetzel, who will be building a chicken farm and Methane processing facility (meaning a large pile of poop)
Lots 40 and 43 belong to my good friend and renaissance farmer Jack Nelson. His project is the I.S.D.S.(Individual Septic Disposal System) or a head for a head.
Lot ? Belongs to Eric Foster, who we may be highly indebted to if it becomes necessary to engage his top secret missile defense system. I’ll ruin the secret and show you the inner workings.
